What is a Destination Tag/Memo/Note?
A Destination Tag/Memo/Note is an additional address feature necessary for identifying a transaction’s recipient beyond a wallet address. For some cryptocurrencies, the tag/memo/note is displayed below your wallet address and is used to determine the individual Finst account a transaction should be credited to.
The Tag/Memo/Note is mandatory when depositing cryptocurrencies that use this technology. You must add the correct Tag/Memo/Note when depositing these cryptocurrencies to your Finst wallet.
Currently, the cryptocurrencies that require tag/memo/note at Finst are:
Eos (EOS) – Memo
Algorand (ALGO) – Note
Ripple (XRP) – Tag
